Young Citizens Award

Dr Sadhu Gupta MBE & Rotary Club of Gourock Young Citizens Award

Information & Guidance

The Dr Sadhu Gupta and Rotary Club of Gourock Young Citizens Award recognises and celebrates the outstanding contributions of young individuals and groups (under the age of 25) who demonstrate positive citizenship and a commitment to making a difference in their community - locally, nationally or globally.

This initiative is part of the Rotary Young Citizen Awards, launched by Rotary International in Great

Britain and Ireland (Rotary GBI), and locally coordinated by the Rotary Club of Gourock.

Who Can Be Nominated?

Young people or groups under 25 can be nominated, whether or not they’re involved in Rotary-led projects. What matters is that they have:

  • Made a positive impact (e.g. through volunteering, fundraising, caregiving, community or acts of courage) or been recognised by a local organisation (e.g. school, council, youth group, cadets, university)

Nominations may come from schools, colleges, youth groups, charities or local authorities.

All nominees will receive a personalised certificate from the Rotary Club of Gourock acknowledging their contribution.
